Christmas in Missouri

Maggie got to spend Christmas in Missouri at Gigi and G-Daddy's with her cousins LaRue and Harper. Christmas Eve at the Beckett's was filled with Santa hat decorating, treat eating, a lot of piano playing, and a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Clause themselves. Before bed, LaRue made sure to put food for the reindeer out in the yard and plenty of milk and cookies out for Santa. Christmas morning, all in new jammies of course, the kids had a ball opening gifts and playing all day. Maggie hid in the corner for a while with her favorite thing and eventually made her way out to enjoy some other toys. LaRue got the Bat-copter he had been asking Santa for and everyone had a very nice Christmas. We wrapped up the week with more playing and a visit to Gram and Beep's for lunch. After ringing in the New Year, we headed home.

Santa Came Early!

Santa put Maggie's kitchen together for her and delivered it during her nap today. She loves it! Of course she talked on the phone right away and quickly learned how to spin the microwave plate. She microwaved corn and bananas and baked cookies. She also washed her hands and told June to wash her hands too. We predict years to come of fun play with this one!

P.S. June got her Christmas clip today. She's ready for a date with Lucky!

New Traditions

The other night before bed I decided to read to Maggie out of Zach's "My Picture Bible" that Gran gave him for Christmas in '87. I chose the pages that talk about the birth of Christ. She woke up this morning talking about "Baby Jeezey" and wanting to read more!

We also baked Christmas cookies this morning. Maggie's favorite is gingerbread. We used a traditional gingerbread cutout, as well as a snowflake and a tree. She wasn't very into decorating them, only eating them.

Breakfast With Santa

We took Maggie to her first ever Breakfast With Santa this morning. It was a really nice breakfast and she really liked it.....with the exception of actually sitting on Santa's lap. At least she got to visit the decorate your own cupcake station and left with a stuffed animal moose after her scarring encounter. Strangely enough, the people dressed as elves were okay. Go figure.

Thanksgiving in WV

We all had a great time in Moundsville for Thanksgiving! Maggie ate tons of turkey and played with Layla :) It was topped off with an early Christmas celebration the day after. Her favorite gift still being the pop up princess tent. Priceless!
